MAGNESIUM FOR BACK PAIN
The reason I had to prescribe magnesium for back pain was that if patients were not getting enough magnesium they would start to develop these symptoms: • Neck pain • Back pain • Muscle weakness • Muscle spasm • Migraine headaches • Fatigue Other symptoms of magnesium deficiency include anxiety, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, and loss of appetite.
Studies have shown that most Americans don’t get enough magnesium in their diet. This increases the risk of getting diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer.
Here is a link to a book at Amazon called “The Magnesium Miracle” The Magnesium Miracle which is a great little book written by a medical doctor, which describes all the health issues that magnesium helps. This is a link to the magnesium for back pain product that I recommend Source Naturals Magnesium If the standard process magnesium isn’t available here is another good magnesium supplement.

How Much Magnesium Do You Need?
The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of Magnesium is 80-240 mg/day in children 1-13 with more needed as age increases. For adults the RDA is 360-420 mg/day.Too much magnesium can be toxic and the highest amount a child between the ages of 1-3 can take is: • 65 mg/day for children ages 1-3 • 110 mg/day for children ages 4-8 • 350 mg/day for ages 9-13 Side effects of too much magnesium are rare, though diarrhea is possible. Because magnesium can influence certain medications, you should talk to your doctor before taking magnesium for back pain. If you have kidney disease, certainly talk to your doctor before taking magnesium.
